Professor Gavett held dual appointments in the Simon School and the Department of Preventive­, Family and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Med­icine and Dentistry. He is involved in the management of Flower City Habitat for Humanity, a private non-profit agency that builds affordable housing for low-income families.
