TEACHING

My teaching interests and reasearch interests are very closely aligned. My background in technology and economics gives me particular strength in teaching inter-disciplinary courses such as Economics of Information Management. and Financial Information Systems. Matching my research in Ecommerce and Internet, I have taught Managing Electronic Commerce Technology, Marketing on the Internet, and Electronic Commerce Strategy.

AEC 513: Advanced Price Theory III (Industrial Organization)

 

RESEARCH

I am primarily interested in analyzing organizational and industrial organization issues in Information systems and technology area. My primary reference discipline is economics. I am currently working on a number of projects on the economics of the Internet industry. They range from access provider - content provider competition, creation of portal web sites, web page design, nature of on-line advertising and hybrid search mechanisms. I have worked on Workflow design and organizational standards in the last couple of years.

 

OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL

My wife Gretchen and I have three kids: Christopher, Benjamin and Meghan. I am a member of the RCIA team and a Stephen Minister at the St. Louis Church, Pittsford, NY. I am a FCC licensed Amateur Radio operator with station call sign N2RD.
