While in many cases the MS degree from Simon will be sufficient for an individual's desired post-graduation career path, some individuals may wish to further their education and pursue the MBA degree as well. Although some credits from the MS degree will be used toward the completion of the MBA, those who are admitted would need to complete additional coursework and other programming to satisfy the MBA graduation requirements. Admission to the MBA program is not guaranteed, as all applicants must meet the MBA eligibility requirements and complete the MBA admissions process.
Who is eligible to apply for the Simon MBA program?
Graduates from Simon MS degree programs with a cumulative 3.1 GPA or higher are eligible to apply. Individuals must apply no earlier than their final quarter of MS study and within no more than 5 years after graduation from the MS program.
Would part-time study be available for the MBA?
Individuals can choose to attend the MBA either full-time or part-time. It is common for students who completed their MS full-time and who were placed in the Rochester area to work full-time and complete their MBA part-time.
How long does it take to complete the MBA under this program?
Typically, this can be accomplished in one year of full-time study or two-three years of part-time study.
Would I qualify for merit-based scholarship?
Merit-based scholarships may be available to full-time MBA students, depending on the credentials of the candidate and relative to the MBA applicant pool for that particular year. Candidates studying on a part-time basis do not receive consideration for merit scholarships.
