Career Management Seminar

Workshops and Programming

The Career Education and Consulting team provides students with the skills and knowledge that will help them during their time at Simon, when they leave Simon and throughout their professional career.

Workshops and educational programming support students with content designed to educate, coach and provide an interactive platform where they will develop the expertise, skills and confidence needed for success. Our workshops and programming span the topics and skills M.B.A. students need to be successful in the job search and in the corporate world.

  • Self Assessment - to determine a student’s skills, values and functional preferences. Assigned consultants help students develop a personalized job search plan.
  • Communication Skills - to perfect the language of business whether written, verbal or body language. What students write, what they say, and how they say it is critical to their success.
  • Professional Networking - gives students the research tools, skills and the etiquette to successfully connect with alumni, friends, family and others to begin to build a network of contacts - for today, tomorrow and throughout their lifetime.
  • Benchmarking - the reality check. The assigned consultant helps students to evaluate where they are on the hiring timeline, their progress, roadblocks, detours, options and necessary actions to ensure the student’s success.

The Career Consulting and Education team gives the Simon student value added personal attention every day, which sets Simon M.B.A.s apart from the competition.
