Shopping Districts

Rochester franchises provide the familiarity of your own hometown, and our hundreds of locally-owned retail stores provide merchandise unique to our region. If you want to check out some of the most interesting shopping districts in New York State, look no further.

Park Avenue
Well-known for its prime location in the museum district, Park Avenue boasts restaurants, cafes, galleries, and boutiques among some of Rochester’s oldest mansions. Parking is easy to find and free. Most would agree that it’s a sublime experience to stroll along Park Avenue, coffee in hand, especially during the spring when the magnolia trees are in full bloom.

Pittsford Plaza
Many people visit Pittsford Plaza to shop or dine in the region’s largest and most extravagant Wegman’s, or to decompress with a book and coffee in a two-story Barnes & Noble. Plenty of unique shopping and relaxing opportunities exist here as well as tried-and-true Bed, Bath & Beyond, Marshall’s, Petco, and TJ Maxx.

Village of Pittsford
This region is a beautifully preserved historic village, dating back to 1789 when the first structure was built. You’ll find charming storefronts, seasonally adorned lampposts, and pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly walkways throughout the village and along the Erie Canal. The ambiance of the village culminates in the annual Pittsford Festival which takes place during the last weeks of summer.

The Village of Pittsford holds wonderful discoveries for the avid shopper. Talbots and Starbucks are surefire delights. We encourage you to take the 20-minute drive southeast from campus - you will not regret it.
