Simon Technology Services (STS) has the following minimum requirements for the computer that you plan to use for your Program.

  • Frontline Risk Solver
  • JMP
  • Microsoft Project
    • To have Microsoft Project installed please stop in to the Simon Technology Services help desk in Gleason 335 or email support@simon.rochester.edu to request to schedule a virtual appointment to have it installed for you via Zoom.
    • MAC USERS: Microsoft Project will not work for Mac. You will need Parallels Desktop with Windows in order to run Project. Parallels Desktop has a charge associated with it ($39.95), and can be purchased at the URTech store website (http://store.it.rochester.edu/index.php?p=product&id=3260792). Simon IT can provide you with Windows and Office free of charge once you have purchased Parallels Desktop. Our help desk is in Gleason 335. Please note: if you are not on campus Simon IT can not provide you with a Windows install and you will be responsible for purchasing and installing your own Windows operating system.
