Student Services

Textbooks

Textbooks and cases are covered by the program fee. Electronic textbooks will be provided by the program staff at the start of classes each course, so you do not need to go to the University bookstore.

Parking

Parking is included in the program fee, so you do not need to purchase a parking pass.

Please use the following guidelines while you are a student in the program:

Weekday Class Sessions:

  • URMC Employees: Use your current parking passes to park on the River Campus after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and park in any non-handicap, non-restricted parking space (avoid Reserved and Premium spots)
  • UR Employees working at non-medical center locations and Non-UR Employees: Visit the Information Booth at the Elmwood Avenue entrance to the University. Tell the attendant you are a student in the Medical Management program at Simon Business School. You will be provided with a one-day parking pass and given parking instructions.

Saturday Class Sessions:

  • A permit is not required. You may park in any non-handicap, non-restricted parking space (avoid Reserved and Premium spots)

Non-Class Days

  • If you will be parking on campus any non-class weekday (for guest lectures, team meetings, etc), you will need to purchase a parking pass. One-time passes are available through the Information Booth attendant for $5 per day.

ID Cards

University employees will use their current Employee ID. Non-University employees will need to obtain a Student ID from the University ID Office, located on the 1st floor of Susan B. Anthony Hall. Please wait until close to the start of the academic year before going to get your ID card. Check the hours listed on the ID Office website before visiting.

Students need an ID card to gain access after-hours to Gleason Hall and Schlegel Hall. An ID card is also required to use the library and to gain admission to some University of Rochester activities.

To obtain an ID card, you must bring one form of identification to the ID Office and be a registered student. For more information on obtaining an ID card, contact the University of Rochester ID Office directly:

Occasional card loss or damage is inevitable. If you lose your ID card, please call the ID Office (x5-3975) immediately to have it deactivated. You also need to call Security (x5-3333) to report the incident and request to have your account suspended. A $10.00 charge is necessary to replace lost cards.
