Simon Business School

Rochester-Bern Executive MBA Program

American business is part of a complex and interdependent global economy. In 1986, recognizing the opportunities for sharing resources and experiences, the Simon Business School became the first accredited US business school to establish a European Executive MBA program. The Simon Business School’s Executive MBA Program in Bern, Switzerland, is offered in collaboration with the Institut für Finanzmanagement at the Universität Bern. The partnership adds a global perspective to both the Rochester and European programs.

The Bern program is equivalent to the Rochester program and is taught by Simon Business School faculty and European scholars. Managers are sponsored by their organizations and earn a University of Rochester MBA as well as an EMBA degree from the Universität Bern. Like Rochester’s Executive MBA students, the Bern students come from a wide variety of countries and cultures.

Bern students spend their four-week summer term in Rochester. During this Rochester stay, students from both programs have the opportunity to experience the various cultural and business perspectives.

In addition, students from both sides of the ocean widen their business network to include colleagues from around the world.
