Refund Schedule

Tuition Refund Policy

Withdraw/Leave of Absence

Prior to the first day of classes:

Students who cancel admission, withdraw, or take a leave from Simon Business School, voluntarily or involuntarily, before the first day of classes will receive a full tuition and fee refund (100%). These students are not included in Simon Business School records as registered for the term. All disbursed Title IV, institutional, state, and other aid will be returned to the appropriate account by the Financial Aid Office. Note: Non-refundable application and enrollment fees will be forfeited.

After the first day of classes:

Students who withdraw or take a leave from Simon Business School, voluntarily or involuntarily, after the first day of classes but before the time when s/he has completed 60 percent of the period of enrollment, will have their institutional charges and institutional aid adjusted based on a daily proration of attendance.

Dropping from a class

(The following excludes Executive MBA and MSB Medical Management programs for which dates vary. See an advisor for the refund schedules for those programs).

Students with a flat-rate tuition:

Students voluntarily withdrawing (dropping) from a course(s) during a period of enrollment will not receive a refund.

Students charged on a per-credit-hour basis:

A tuition refund schedule applies to students voluntarily withdrawing (dropping) from a course(s) during a period of enrollment. This policy does not apply if you plan to decrease your credit load to 0 hours for the quarter, in which case, see Withdraw/Leave of Absence policy above.

August 26 - September 1, 2020 100%, no grade assigned
September 2 - September 8, 2020 75% refund, grade of W assigned
September 9 - September 15, 2020 50% refund, grade of W assigned
On or after September 16, 2020 0% refund, grade of W or WE assigned


Fall B Term 2020

October 27 - November 2, 2020 100% refund, no grade assigned
November 3 - November 9, 2020 75% refund, grade of W assigned
November 10 - November 16, 2020 50% refund, grade of W assigned
On or after November 17, 2020 0% refund, grade of W or WE assigned


Spring A Term 2021

January 11 - January 17, 2021 100% refund, no grade assigned
January 18 - January 24, 2021 75% refund, grade of W assigned
January 25 - January 31, 2021 50% refund, grade of W assigned
On or after February 1, 2021 0% refund, grade of W or WE assigned


Spring B Term 2021

March 15 - March 21, 2021 100% refund, no grade assigned
March 22 - March 28, 2021 75% refund, grade of W assigned
March 29 - April 4, 2021 50% refund, grade of W assigned
On or after April 5, 2021 0% refund, grade of W or WE assigned
