In this blog post, Rebekah Lewin, senior assistant dean of admissions and programs, explains why you shouldn't put off your business school goals any longer.

Why Now is the Time for Business School

November 9, 2022 | By Rebekah Lewin

There are many factors to consider as you’re deciding when you should pursue your graduate business degree. Timing is an important one—here are a few reasons you should apply for graduate school this year at Simon:

Exceptional career outcomes.

Simon’s Class of 2022 full-time post-MBA average total compensation is at an all-time high at $161,740, with 95% of job-seeking graduates employed within three months of graduation. Just as noteworthy, more than 90% of our job-seeking full-time MS graduates from the Class of 2021 secured employment within six months of graduation. Additionally, our part-time and online students continue to earn an income while completing their program, and some may qualify for employer tuition benefits to finance their studies.

Scholarship support & competitive ROI.

There is an opportunity for scholarship support to finance your studies across all of our graduate programs. Availability of scholarship support, loans, employer tuition benefits, along with expected salary growth, all contribute to the impressive return on investment of your Simon degree. In fact, Simon's full-time MBA was ranked No. 1 for ROI based on percentage increase on pre-MBA salary by The Economist (2022).

Flexible application requirements.

During the application process, Simon offers the choice to waive or submit a standardized test, which allows you to determine how to put your best foot forward as you position your candidacy to the Admissions Committee.

STEM designation across programs.

All MBA (full-time, part-time, and executive) and MS program formats (full-time and online) are STEM designated—sending a strong signal to potential employers of your quantitative and analytic skills and your readiness to contribute or manage in a world that increasingly depends on data to drive business decisions. Furthermore, international students in our full-time MBA and MS programs qualify for three years of post-degree employment in the United States while remaining on a student visa.

Diverse, close-knit community.

Our commitment to EDI includes longstanding partnerships with The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, Forté, ROMBA, and Management Leadership for Tomorrow and has resulted in our Full-Time MBA program being ranked the No. 1 and No. 2 most diverse MBA program among top-50 schools by U.S. News & World Report for two consecutive years. We invite you to join us for a virtual or in-person event to confirm what makes the Simon culture so distinctive and special.
