Simon’s Information Systems and Technology PhD focuses on the business aspects of information technology use and management, including emerging AI technologies. The program emphasizes analytic and quantitative tools and techniques from economics, operations research, and decision sciences. Research conducted by students and faculty has significantly advanced the state of the art in information systems research, with a focus on information systems economics, machine learning modeling, and empirical methods for studying human interactions with Artificial Intelligence (such as generative AI for conversation, image design, etc.).
