Embarking on a graduate business degree is an exciting and transformative journey. Whether you are continuing from undergraduate studies or returning to academia after amassing some professional experience, Simon Business School’s programs offer the opportunity to open countless doors for you:

Both our full-time and part-time programs have application deadlines coming up this spring, so let’s talk a little about how you can prepare to apply!

Submit Your Strongest Application

While the time to submit an application to be considered for the Fall 2025 intake is rapidly approaching, it is still extremely important to submit a strong and complete application. Below are a few quick tips to consider when working your way through the application.

  • Quality of Materials: Make sure your application materials are polished and well-prepared. This includes proofreading essays for grammar, clarity, and most importantly, authenticity! The Admissions Committee is eager to get to know why your program of interest is a best fit for you, so in addition to your personalized essays, ensuring your résumé is up-to-date and verifying that all information is accurate will be equally important.
  • Follow Instructions: Carefully follow all instructions provided in the application to avoid any mistakes that could delay the processing of your application.
  • Review and Submit: Before submitting, review your entire application to ensure everything is complete and accurate.

Start Planning for Fall Now

Even if you’re still at the application stage, it’s wise to start looking ahead at what the next few months will look like and what you’ll need to do to prepare to begin graduate school.

  • Make a plan for funding business school. At Simon, 90% of full-time MBA and MS students receive merit-based scholarship support, but even with a scholarship, it’s prudent to think through what your plan will be for financing business school. We have great resources, including a How to Fund Your Simon Degree webinar and a recent blog post that can help you assess all the factors that influence the total financial commitment of business school.
  • Keep your program start time in mind. Orientation is required for all Simon programs, and the Full-Time MBA begins in July, while the other graduate programs begin in August. Having those timeframes top of mind will help you plan out the next several months—including possibly orchestrating a move to Rochester!—should you be admitted.
  • Know the next steps. If you receive an offer of admission, there are some immediate “to-dos” to cross off your list, most importantly paying your deposit to secure your spot in the class! You’ll also want to begin the I-20 and visa process (full-time students, if applicable), secure housing, and complete all onboarding materials—keep an eye out for those important emails—so you start your tenure at Simon on the right foot!

Ready to Take the Next Step? Get Started!

Our next application deadline for the part-time programs is April 15, while the final application deadline for the full-time programs is May 1. Scholarship is still available for all competitive candidates and no GMAT or GRE score is required to apply. We have rolling admissions at Simon, meaning applications are read as they are received, and if you apply earlier in a cycle, it’s likely you’ll receive a decision before the guaranteed notification deadline.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to us at admissions@simon.rochester.edu if you have any questions; we are here to support you every step of the way.

Here’s to your success and an enriching time at Simon Business School!
