Traveling to Rochester
Easily accessible by air, train, or car, traveling to Rochester is convenient and affordable. Commercial taxi service, car rental, and ride-sharing are available from the airport and train station.
- Driving
The University's River Campus is conveniently located less than two miles from the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC).
- Flying

- Train
The Rochester Amtrak station just a ten minute drive from our campus, and is served daily by trains traveling from New York City, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, and other major cities.
Getting to Campus
Upon arrival please stop at the information booth on Wilson Boulevard and request a parking pass for the Simon School Career Management Center. The booth attendant will direct you to the appropriate parking lot.
- From the East
Motorists coming to Rochester via the New York State Thruway, Rt. 90, should use Exit 46; take I-390 North to Exit 17. Turn left onto Scottsville Road. At the second light, bear right onto Elmwood Avenue. Cross the Genesee River Bridge and take a left onto Wilson Boulevard.
- From the West
Use Thruway Exit 47, take I-490 East to I-390 South to Exit 17. Take a left onto Scottsville Road. At the third light, bear right onto Elmwood Avenue. Cross the Genesee River Bridge and take a left onto Wilson Boulevard.
- From the South
Take I-390 North to Exit 17. Turn left onto Scottsville Road. At the second light, bear right onto Elmwood Avenue. Cross the Genesee River Bridge and take a left onto Wilson Boulevard.
Once on Campus
To get to Schlegel Hall from the library lot, walk down the Eastman Quadrangle starting near Rush Rhees Library. As you come down the stairs from the Quadrangle, take a left in front of Schlegel Hall and the second entrance door on your right will be the front entrance to Schlegel Hall. William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration is written over the door. Upon entering Schlegel Hall, the Benet Career Management Center (304 Schlegel Hall) is located up the spiral staircase to the left.
