Your opportunity to compete for additional scholarships.

An invitation-only event for top admitted Full-Time MS candidates, our Scholarship Competition provides an opportunity to compete for scholarships beyond what is initially awarded at the time of admission. In fact, our largest merit awards, including full-tuition fellowships and named scholarships, are awarded through the competition. We encourage you to apply by January 5 to qualify for this exclusive opportunity.

For more information, email our Simon Admissions Team or call us at (585) 275-3533.

Formerly called Scholarship Weekend, this year’s virtual Scholarship Competition event will span two weekends, with the bulk of the programming focused between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. EST to encourage participation from our admitted students around the globe.

Here’s a sample of the synchronous programming we have planned:
  • Session with the Office of Student Engagement

  • Small Group Speed Networking with Alumni and Current Students

  • Team Building Activity with Admitted Students

  • Careers Overview

  • Team Case Presentations

  • Alumni Speaker

  • Q&A with Current Students

Please note that participation across both weekends is required in order to be considered for a scholarship increase. If you have any questions, please email events@simon.rochester.edu.

After the Competition

The Admissions Committee typically makes decisions about scholarship increases, named scholarships, and full-tuition fellowships within the week after participation. These scholarship increases are awarded after reviewing results from discussions, a team case competition, your overall participation during the competition, and your previously submitted online application for admission.

Scholarship Weekend was where I met my future roommates, who remain two of my best friends. The opportunity to increase scholarship while connecting with other professionals with similar interests was invaluable to me. Attending Scholarship Weekend made me realize that Simon was the place for me.
